AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Sunday, January 19, 2003, Mr. Henry Fulcher Hardy, beloved husband of Mrs. Patricia Hardy. Additional family members include three sons, Harold Eugene Hardy, Augusta, (GA) Michael Fulcher Hardy, Martinez, (GA) and Mark Alan Hardy, Augusta (GA); four daughters, Karen Hardy Bugg, North Augusta,(SC) Pamela Hardy Doss, Augusta, (GA) Charlotte Denise Hardy, Augusta (GA) and Amanda Louise Hardy, Augusta (GA); one brother, Robert Eugene Hardy, Augusta (GA); one sister, Clair Hardy Goen, Grovetown (GA); six grandchildren, Matthew David Bugg, Alexandria Michele Bugg, Bryan Fulcher Hardy, James Harold Hardy, Theresa Nicole Hardy, Sarah Madison Doss; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors with Dr. R.J. Robinson and Rev. Jake Malone officiating. Interment in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. or at the home of Karen and David Bugg, 2438 Country Club Hills Drive, North Augusta, SC. Pallbearers will be George Akins, Charles Goen, Lloyd Holt, James Hughes, Reynolds Love, and Cliff Watts. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of CSX Railroad. Mr. Hardy was a lifelong resident of Augusta and a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the US Army and had retired from CSX Railroad. Mr. Hardy will also be remembered by many as a coach for 13 years with the Richmond County Recreation Department. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to First Baptist Church, Youth Funding, 3500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA. 30909.
